My name is Marcus, and I am writing to you today asking for
your help in a cause that’s close to my heart. Road cycling
became my escape from the world after my father suddenly
passed away in 2012. Prior to that I had little to no interest in
cycling. Riding is not only fantastic for your overall health and fitness, but also can also have a positive effect on the community. I’ve been inspired by the work of Humpty Dumpty Foundation, and wanted to support them by raising money as part of my participation in 1200kms for kids 2017 charity ride from Sydney to Brisbane. Each year, an inspiring group of cyclists and their support crew ride the East Coast of Australia to help brighten the lives of seriously ill children and their families. All proceeds raised go towards research and equipment for the Humpty Dumpty Foundation and the Children’s Hospital Foundation. In just seven days of riding, we will put our bodies through the ultimate test of strength and endurance. An experience that sick children and their families face for longer than a week. I am writing to you today asking for your help, by giving whatever you can, be it small or large. I have set myself a goal of raising $7500. Donations can be made on my personal fundraising page at
The more people that know about the Humpty Dumpty Foundation, the greater their impact can be. Their donation of life saving medical equipment to hospitals, means that lives can be saved on a daily basis.
Thank you in advance for your time and generosity, it means a lot! Marcus Lacy
